Position Overview
Couger has a team of machine learning/AI engineers with world-class achievements in computer vision and natural language processing. The engineering manager is responsible for managing a team that is diverse in experience and nationality, to bring out the best out of the individuals and the team.
Management tasks to bring out the best in our engineers and maximize the output from development and research (code review, QA, and customer implementation support as needed)
Assign development, set goals, develop work plans, manage progress, identify and remedy issues
Provide technical support for projects with a high degree of novelty and uncertainty
Work closely with project and product managers to establish and execute development roadmaps
The engineering team is expanding to support the increased business opportunities. We are in need of someone to manage the team of AI engineers to maximize their output and to work cross-functionally to develop a scalable product.

Skills & Experience
Minimum qualifications
Experience in development and operation of commercial products
Development experience as an engineer
Management experience of engineers
English (business level)
Japanese (basic level)
Preferred qualifications
Machine learning related development and design experience
Experience making technical decisions as a leader
Project management experience
Experience in architectural design of entire systems
Experience in team management, including international teams
Experience in recruiting engineers (document screening, interviewing, direct recruiting, etc.)
